-muuq- is a verb meaning 'to go / head toward a place.'
illumuuqtunga
I am going to the house.
-minngaaq- is another verb, meaning 'to come from.'
pinnguavimmiinngaaqtut
They are coming from the rec centre.
 
-muuq-, and -miinngaaq- are added directly to roots ending in vowels.
illumiinngaaqtut
They are coming from the house.

When they are added to a root ending in q, they delete the final q.
qangatasuuq qangatasuumiinngaaqtuq
airplane He/she is coming from the airplane.


When they are added to a root ending in k they change the k to m:
ilinniavik ilinniavimmuuqtunga
school I am going to the school.
